New AT-43 Stuff

Post by CleverName » Tue Feb 05, 2008 2:48 pm

Thought I would post a few new things

Rackham has a resin site that has posted a new vehicle for AT-43, the Fire Wasp

The Fire Wasp comes equipped with a laser gun . It has the "repair" ability, at the beginning or at the end of it's activation it can repair a friendly armored fighting vehicle within 2.5 cm of it.

The armored fighting vehicle recovers 2 structure points in a location chosen by the player. Destroyed parts may be repaired.

-It's movement is 30/45 cm. There will be variants of this vehicle with the "First aid" ability and the "Disruption" ability available in the near future.

New UNA TAC Arm with flamer and pike for close-in luvin'

New Fire Toad -- this one has a winter paint scheme, but most importantly comes with all the weapon options; o cargo container, though.

Also, there is a lot of buzz that we should see 1-2 new factions announced this summer.

Man, that resin model kinda sucks compared to the quality of the Rackham range. It has a pretty cool ability though.

The head dude at Rackham announced this news - a new campaign set due out in the second quarter 08 -- specifically, I would guess that they would do this at this year's Origins in June.
This Campaign will be a product boxed set, including scenery, few special miniatures, new gaming tiles, additional rulesbook which cover new tactics options, rules for playing these new miniatures in AT-43, rules for scenery, an optimization for using the existing attachment boxes in the game, rules campaign system, huge set of scenarios and lots more.

I'm wondering if this might contain the first units of a new faction...

From reading the forums, it sounds like the new race or races will be either the Cogs or Krygs, which both are metioned breifly in the various army books. The Krygs trade and live with the Red Blok but were almost wiped out by the Karmans, thanks a lot Jon :!: . The Cogs are most probably lizardmen in space who are obsessed with technology or are at least very technologically advanced. The trade with the UNA. This sets up the possiblity, perhaps in the new box set that comes out this summer, rules for alliances. Of course, if the release of these new armies is anything like the way they have released the Karmans, you shouldn't expect a fully playable army untill late fall at best. Still, though, space lizards sound awesome :D

Wow, I think this has to be the coolest concept design for a mini army I have seen. It has kind of a Tau/ anime/ high tech look. Also nice fluff, although I'm not sure which fluff applies to this particular race in question.

"Combat drill: "Fire at will!"
Once per round each hero can spend 1 LP to give, ,the "Fire at will!" combat drill to an infantry unit he leads and which will not move this round. The rate of attack of the unit?s ranged weapons is doubled until the end of the unit?s activation. "

Now this is something the monkeys are looking forward too! Fo the Anakongas, this will mean a lot of shots.

Note that you have to have a HERO attached to the unit to use this drill.
