Early Space Wolves Rumors

Post by Steve » Thu Aug 21, 2008 5:02 pm

Early Space Wolves Rumors :
* Blood Claws come with bolt pistols, ccw, krak and frag and can have either special weapons or power fists. Squad sizes are 10-20. WS is 4 and BS stays at 3.

* Blood Claws with jump packs are now their own unit type in the codex.

* Grey Hunters are equipped like CSM. Bolter, Boltpistol and ccw + grenades. They lose true grit but still have counter charge. They can also have special weapons and powefists. The unit is lead by wolf guard, which have similar options like vets of the dark angels.

* Wolf guard are divided into two types. Power and terminator armor. There will be no mixing of the two.

* Scouts can infiltrate or enter play from any table edge.

* Long fangs stay the same. But will evidently also get a bolt pistols and ccw.

* Venerable Dreadnoughts will have their WS reduced to 4, but Bjorn will be usable as a special character, with apparently improved stats. Unknown whether the Vens. will be available as a HQ choice.
I had really guessed a good bit of this so no real surprises, Space wolves will be really scary in 5th.

There just getting all of that out in the open now so we don't have to encounter it later.

I always thought true grit was kinda silly anyway.

I'm 1 model shy of a full Blood Claw squad now. *pout* I ran them 9 strong so that they could fit in a rhino with a Priest.

My Long Fangs are still BP equipped from 2nd ed! yay!

Lost all my power armored Wolf Guard in the move, so now worries about that. I never ran them mixed anyway.

very cool stuff, too bad I don't run marines anymore. :p

Wait...what? I think I got lost somewhere in your post ;).

Do you just collect small squads of Space Wolves to paint them and not play with them?

lol not at all!

I had roughly 4500 points before I lost my command staff in the move. I tried to pack them extra safe I suppose, so wherever they are, they are safe!

I have played space wolves since the 2nd ed box came out. I have not played them in a while, having started Bugs about 2 years ago.

I was just commenting on the things that were different between what I have and the rumoured rules. :)
