Ok forget the 4th! I'll keep an eye out for another date.

In other news, I got the mold for the streets. Having trouble with them so I just ordered the textured plasticard instead... after making three molds worth and none of them coming out right. ARRRRR Guess it working on my stompa tonight.

Taaaa Daaaa - Terrain

Post by Da MaCHiNE » Tue Aug 25, 2009 8:55 pm

Hey Ya'll,

So it has come to pass that I will actually be posting Pix on this site (with Luck) - So,... these are some of the terrain pieces I have started to make,... I know they are probably more 40K'ish but,... I wanted to get used to the substrate I am using before trying to do a Medieval piece. Lemme know what ya think so far and as always thoughts and or comments are always welcome. I used a mini just so some height could be gauged.

Hmmm well it kept timing out on me so anyway - here's one of the 5 pix I have,... I will try to get more up here tomorrow.

Looking good man! I just confirmed a deal with a guy from bartertown today for TWO sets of the original Mordheim terrain. I plan on adding balsa wood to the floors and spackeling/repainting the outside to make them look more real. That should provide the bulk of my buildings for the board. Still waiting on my textured plasticard... its coming from UK so it will be a while.

OH! And I have my orc warband painted and ready to go :-)

Well,

I've made the decision to run Vamps for this,... I miss the army I sold and this would be a way to start it back up,... I will make a Beastmen Warband as well but, will put that on a back burner for the time being.

Pix will be uploaded later of the other terrain I have been working on,... I figure I should be good to start on the theme piece I plan to do for Mordheim now.

Any way - I think we are all looking forward to this,... I've never been in a Mordheim type campaign so am very much looking forward to seeing how the game actually plays.

man i need to get on this. i feel extremely behind compared to others. busting out terrain and models...

As for kick off days, I'm all for saturdays and/or sundays. Fridays are a little iffy in my world due to the whole work thing, but can be doable if planned out right.

i'm also really looking forward to seeing Abbadon's table. sounds like you are going all out for it!

well get kicking. Its a casual game, and i am sure we wont all be able to meet up at once too. As for me..fridays and saturdays have to also be planned out, and sundays are pretty darn hit and miss all together. Week days might be easier to some extent but as usual if the day is planned out about 2 weeks ahead, i can always request that night off of work.

I like mordheim and necromunda for the simple fact that you need less models to really play. The biggest challenge usually is having good terrain that makes use of lvls and density. The battles here are fought in huge ruined cities, not on open fields.

I had put together about three or four of the buildings. They are in good shape, may need a little reassembly in places. The rest of the stuff is pretty much on the sprue or still not punched out of the card stock. I do not have the instructions anymore though that tells you how to assemble it. I have no plans to put the rest together as I have scratchbuilt most of my fantasy terrain, so I could trade for something I guess. PM me and we can discuss.

FYI SolderofFortune and I are having a practice game to reacquaint ourselves with the rules this coming Wednesday at 730pm at the shop. Anyone who is interested in stopping by to check it out is welcome to. This will be a non-campaign practice game.

I might come by for that, just to observe. Probably going to try out a Beastman Warband.
