Does anyone have any models that I can use as Warhounds for my Witchhunter army? Any spare dog or wolf models will do. I just don't want to try to sculpt them out of green stuff. I can just imagine the looks on your faces when I'm like:
"Yeah, that blob is a dog and he's going to try to eat you now."

Two or three. I don't plan on having a bunch of dogs out there, but for Witchhunters they are only 15 gold. So, they're a steal in the beginning.

wish my list had some 15gold cheap beasts to toss at my opponent lol. beasthounds costs me a whopping 30 gold each, i can only have two but i also have to take a beastmaster in order to even consider thats another 55gold.
But then again my beasts are like nasty as crap except for that whole..stupidity issue and that beastmaster rule. Which by the way sucks cause it means if i take a beastmaster they gotta stick close to him, and if he ever permanently dies..they disappear too, and theres always the fact that they can't go to a battle if the beastmaster isn't able to go. They are however str and toughness of 4, and cause fear and thus they freakin hurt things lol. i want to get a game in soon...darn wish i was able to on sunday but can't, and the rest of the week is shot too. Oh well..guess i better get back to bases to finish and 4 more models not including my noble to complete too. So 2 down, 5 to go, then 3 extra corsairs for later warband expansion.

My warhounds are cheap, have a WS and St of 4, but a toughness 3 and a leadership of 5. So, they have to stay around my captain, but I'm sure he won't mind the extra protection. Also, if I want to voluntarily route, they won't be a painful loss, due to their low cost, and inability to gain experience anyway.
I find myself envying those damn marienburgers and their extra 100g to start.

DaMachine - drop them off whenever you can and that's totally cool. I appreciate it greatly.
By the way, I'm the grey knight player that was in everyone's way while you played Cami and I was being wiped off the other table.

yeah but your warhounds are cheap, and don't require a hero just to use them. Coldones have nice stats....but are Ld4, stupidity and have to stay within 6in of the beastmaster, and can'tt be used without that beastmaster.
I would be happy with somewhat of a cheap henchmen type. As it is...the cheapest model in a dark elf warband is the shade and cold one beast hound at 30 gold. Really marienburgers get an extra 100gold..darn i should have looked into them lol, but then again there just human mercs, and i am having a blast converting and painting up these dark elves. Truth be told painting up these cold ones almost makes me want to start a fantasy army of them...almost. Hmmm...maybe i can just find a way to do some commission pieces of some dark elves instead of just building an entire army.

Attacked by Green Blobs?

Why not just make them War Turtles? not a whole lot of sculpting skill required there.

If anyone else wants to play, I'm planning on bringing my Witch Hunter warband to play around with. I think the starting list is all painted and ready to go, w/o the warhounds... they may be represented by empty bases until further notice.
I have the day off, so I'm not really restricted to a time.
