I'd like to, but question my ability. Don't like the whole "limited" business.

Jon,

Can you order these? I would rather buy from you than straight from GW.

Great looking figures, but a $100.00 will buy a bunch of stuff I need more.

That's... Wow.

1) I'm almost tempted to get it simply for the minis. I can't believe those are plastic.

2) I can't believe they're doing a limited run of this. Hopefully it'll sell wonderfully and they'll do reprints, because I'd love to see those minis on a tabletop.

well its not been confirmed at least in the threads i have read on that game, but the minis might be actually smaller than the table top game we all know and play. However the only confirmation was someone said that mail order said they were the same scale, but from the pics they appear smaller.

If you play marines and need termies, it's a great deal. If you play both armies, even better.

I've got a big hangup with the detailed Blood Angels iconography. I would like to see more shots of the minis to see how easy it might be to file the majority of it off. It's great detail, and they did a wonderful job; I just don't want the BA iconography.

Also the bases throw me. I didn't expect ArmyMen style planks. It makes me wonder about if you put a regular base on there, would the base cover too much of the board?

well if they are the right size, this is a great deal for the marine players, not so sure for just the nid player. Awesome deal if you play both tho. The terminators are well detailed, however, all that blood angel iconography makes them less appealing. Also i would hate to buy this box just for the librarian. Its the only real model i can use with minimum converting.
I will probably pass, as much as i would love to have the box set, 100 is a bit steep and it would just end up sitting on my shelf like talisman is. Never played and collecting dust. Sigh for the shame of it. Thats mostly cause i can't get my wife to try the game nor any other family members so i can't see spending money on yet another board game no one in my household will try.

And kabniel, there plastic..so you could trim the icons off, and maybe apply a little greenstuff to smooth them over, but its still gonna be alot of work unless your doing Bloodangels. The easiest way would be to remove the blood drops and apply your armies icon if possible, instead of removing all the angelic wings around the blood drops.

thought i would share this. Today i was up at GW, mostly to aquire a box of dark elf corsairs while i was up in the ATL for my daughters development specialist appointment at emory. UGH long day.

Anyways, i was in the GW store..it was a short visit but i did manage to look, touch and slightly drool over the space hulk plastic termies. Sorry i didn't really touch the genesteelers....real excuse i was in a hurry. Anyways those new plastics...they are a softer plastic, compared to the usual marines. You can feel it when you pick them up. However, man the detail is mind blowing. The pics do them great justice, and i am miffed that the normal termies aren't as cool looking. That said, if you got the money and want to get some termies or gene steelers..go for it. They are to scale, they look amazing, my only beef with the termies is all those blood angel symbols. Also the librarian looked so kick. Also so did the rest of the termies, some had amazing looking torsos, heads, and little details.

Also for all you fluff gurus, the librarian is actually mephiston before he succumbed to the black rage. The name of him in the space hulk book is his name that he went by before he started using mephiston. So that is something to ponder, how much fluff is actually in the space hulk books that come from the game.

Got to check it out at Phoenix games. The models are beautifully done, and the tiles are easily twice as thick as the old sets. All the art on the tiles was new and fresh. Didn't get a chance to see if the rules had changed any. Wish I could get a copy. It does come with the new style stealers of course, which I don't like a bit. I will admit they looked nifty though.
