September HeroClix Tournament Schedule


200 Point DC Tournament
9/7/2006 7:00:00 PM

All players wishing to participate in this event must construct a 200 point team that is comprised solely of figures from the DC Universe. Retired figures will be allowed. Feat cards and battlefield conditions will be allowed; however, these also must come from the DC Universe. Maps from the DC Hypertime starter set will be used. The fellowship award will go to the player who fields the most comic accurate theme team.

300 Point Sealed Event

Players wishing to participate in this event will need to purchase three HeroClix boosters. Players will be allowed fifteen minutes to construct the most effective 300 point team from the figures pulled. All boosters must be purchased from Classic City Comics & Games immediately prior to the event. Play will take place on the Outdoor Adventure Pack Map.

600 Point Marvel Tournament

All players wishing to participate in this event must construct a 600 point team that is comprised solely of figures from the Marvel Universe. Feat cards and battlefield conditions will be allowed; however, these also must come from the Marvel Universe. The Thunderbolt feat card may only be used to copy Marvel team abilities. Maps from the Indoor Adventure Pack will be used. The fellowship award will go to the player who fields the most comic accurate theme team.

300 Point Big Map Event

Every player wishing to participate in this event should construct a four hundred point force. Retired figures are allowed. Battlefield conditions will NOT be allowed. This event will have a three hour time limit.

All players will battle it out on a single playing field. If four or less players attend, play will take place on a single map. For every one or two players after the first four, an additional map will be added to the playing field. The Sinister Prison Map will be used for this event. Every player will place three object tokens on the playing area.

Prior to play, each player will roll 2d6. The highest roll will go first and also be allowed to select his or her starting area. The second highest roll will then decide his or her starting area and so on. This event will have a three hour time limit. Victory points will only be awarded for opposing figures KO'd.

House Rules

1. Hidden Timer ? The timer that measures how much time remains in a given round will be concealed to prevent actions based on time remaining in the round. Each round will last between forty-five and fifty-five minutes.

2. End Game ? Both players will be allowed an equal number of turns. When the timer sounds, the player currently acting will complete his or her turn. If this player is the one who went first for this round, then his or her opponent will then be allowed to complete his or her final turn. Otherwise, the game is concluded.

3. Figure Retirement ?Retired figures may be used in any tournament unless specifically stated otherwise in the event description.

4. Promotional Figures ? Promotional figures may be used in any tournament unless specifically stated otherwise in the event description.
